Christian Dior Addict Lip Maximizer High Volume Lip Plumper
Our lips are a sign of good health and most likely one of the first features others may notice about our faces. Dry lips look cracked, sore, dull, chapped and those traits are the opposite of what everyone should aim for: pinkish, baby soft, naturally hydrated, plumped lips. And no, I am not referring to the hyaluronic-acid-plumped-by-surgeons lips (unless you were born with them). If the softness and hydration could be covered by treatments and many effective products, we only have the plumping desire to deal with it (wishing it will come from a small bottle!). Some are saying that…there is no such thing! But what if the “perfect” lip plumper exists?
THE PAINFUL TRUTH
Some time ago I realized that no lip gloss in the world is going to make my lips look like Angelina Jolie’s lips. Once you get this truth deeply encrypted in your brain, it’s far easier to be more realistic about your expectations of the lip plumping products. And, my Gosh, did I try them all? From the “slightly tingly” to the “my lips are on fire” to the“Oh, but I feel nothing”plumpers, I used them all. Until I fell for Dior…and hoped to become an “addict”! Did I?
CHRISTIAN DIOR ADDICT LIP MAXIMIZER
This lip gloss/plumper is really nice and it really feelspleasant after applying it, plus it does not have that annoying tingly feeling like some of the cheap ones from the local drug store have. Minty and pleasing, soothing and with a long lasting shine and hint of vanilla, this makes a wonderful gloss. The fact that it is not sticky or glittery also wins a few more points in my “nice to have”beauty products book.
For a few years I have found Lipfusion XL lip plumper to be the absolute best for my-then-lip needs; it lasted longer than any other such product (the “plumping effect” was felt for more than an hour at the time). But eventually I grew tired of the significant sting-ducky lips like feeling. And God-forbid kissing your man or a child while wearing Lipfusion XL (let’s just say it gave an uncomfortable rush/allergic reaction to the “victim”). So, I was happy to discover Christian Dior Addict Lip Maximizer. It is a great gloss, somehow calming and it gives your lips a subtle color even long after applying it. However, the “plumping” is minimal and doesn’t save you in any way the money for a Restylane injection. The packaging is very pretty, however, I find the gloss too expensive for what it delivers versus what it claims to do! Definitely you could find comparable, if not better products, at far lower prices. Although I love many things Dior offers, this is not one of them!
